Welcome to Clearwater Florida's NEW downtown - the Cleveland Street District!

Over 1.8 Million People Visit Each Year. Come See Why!

A harbor community, Clearwater is nestled between Tampa Bay to the east and Clearwater Harbor to the west. Oak-lined avenues and streets run along gently sloping terrain throughout the third-largest metro area in the Tampa Bay region. Take a short hop across the architecturally unique Memorial Causeway Bridge to reach Clearwater Beach, one of the best-known resort towns on the Gulf of Mexico.

The Cleveland Street District proves there’s much more to Clearwater than the beautiful white sand beaches. Sitting atop a 30-foot bluff overlooking Clearwater Harbor, the Cleveland Street District combines beautiful waterfront living with a walkable urban setting. You’ll never run out of exciting things to do, see, eat, hear, and enjoy in the Cleveland Street District and the Clearwater area!

As a year-round top vacation spot, Clearwater offers an endless supply of sun and a mild temperate climate. It is ideally situated on the Gulf of Mexico on Florida’s west coast, offering something for every visitor.

Just a Few Visitor Highlights

Local shops and boutiques, local and chain restaurants, recreation, sports, and accommodations are scattered around town. Clearwater is a short drive from Tampa International Airport and St. Petersburg/Clearwater Airport. At Clearwater Marine Aquarium, on the causeway out to Clearwater Beach, visitors can wade with dolphins and meet Winter the Dolphin, see rescued sea turtles, and take a Sealife Safari.

Following the success of the film Dolphin Tale, the 3-D major motion picture about Clearwater Marine Aquarium's famous tailless dolphin resident, Winter, Clearwater Marine Aquarium has expanded into the Cleveland Street District of Historic Downtown Clearwater's Harborview Center with an authentic behind the scenes experience of the #1 box office hit. What was just a shell of a former department store has been transformed into "Winter's Dolphin Tale Adventure."

This fun and educational attraction will take you inside the movie; taking 3D to a whole new level! The adventure includes re-built scenes, movie images, and a variety of actual props used and filmed in Dolphin Tale, all donated by Alcon Entertainment.

Your adventure will also include an interactive kid's area, Winter's true tail history, a new and expanded retail store, a mini-theater and more. You may purchase your Dolphin Tale Adventure tickets on location, online or at CMA where combo packages to both attractions will be sold that also include dedicated Jolley Trolley transportation from one location to the other.

Additional District highlights include the 34-mile-long Pinellas Trail, built on an abandoned CSX railroad right-of-way that is designed for biking, walking, running and skating enthusiasts. It winds through Clearwater on its way from St. Petersburg to Tarpon Springs.

Waterfront Coachman Park hosts numerous outdoor concerts, including the four-day Clearwater Jazz Holiday, which brings in such legendary talents as Dave Brubeck and Al Jarreau, as well as a popular July Fourth celebration. Stunning views of Clearwater Harbor, the brand-new 126 slip Clearwater Harbor Marina, and tropical breezes make it a popular venue.
