Painting in the Park – Art Bazaar at Station Square Park in Downtown Clearwater continues Saturday, April 15 from 5 to 9 p.m. with more art, music and drinks under the stars.
The event will feature an open air painting class, guest artist, live music, beer, wine, food vendors, glitz and glam face painting and unique vendors. Local musician Meg Shannon will perform. Artists in attendance include Vicki Hudson, Kelly Kroha Strong, wood sculptor Mike Ferguson and wearable artist Lina Teixeira of Studio 617.
Artist Jennie Pearl will host the open air painting class. The Florida artist specializes in murals, fine arts, unique and personalized faux finishes, acrylic, pen and ink, charcoal, watercolor, pencil drawings, digital art, mixed media and photography. Last year, she won the city of Clearwater’s Downtown Gateway Art Project, and her artistic design is currently displayed on city property at 1274 Cleveland St.
Pearl will lead participants in the open air painting class through a wonderful array of styles and designs that will captivate the novice artist and inspire the experienced artist.
Admission to the event is free. Registration for the open air painting class is $35 per person, and it includes all painting class materials and a complimentary beverage. The event is child and pet friendly.
Painting in the Park -- Art Bazaar at Station Square Park, located at 612 Cleveland St., will be held the first and third Saturdays from April through June.
