The City of Clearwater approved an agreement with Ruth Eckerd Hall for an expanded and enhanced schedule at the Capitol Theatre. This agreement supports the objectives to support existing retail business viability in a period of economic downturn, assist the retail recruitment efforts, and expose more potential customers to the Cleveland Street District through attendance at District events.

Details: Starring Audrey Hepburn and George Peppard, Breakfast at Tiffany’s is the quintessential romantic comedy setting the standard to which other in the genre are compared. The story follows Holly Golightly who fascinates struggling writer and neighbor Paul Varjak in New York City. At parties she is sexy and sophisticated, but when the two are alone she is a vulnerable bundle of neuroses. Hepburn's portrayal of Holly Golightly as the naive, eccentric café society girl is generally considered to be the actress' most memorable and identifiable role. Hepburn's performance of "Moon River" helped composer Henry Mancini and lyricist Johnny Mercer win an Oscar for Best Song.

Details: One of the standout bands of the Tampa Bay scene of the 1990’s, The Hazies broke onto the national stage with their 1996 EMI release Vinnie Smokin’ in the Big Room featuring the fan favorite tracks Skin and Bones and Trip. Prior to being called The Hazies, the band performed under the name UROK emerging out of the post-grunge era with a sound all their own. This will be the second time the band has reunited since playing the Back to the Future last November at Jannus Live. The night will begin with a nostalgic set of UROK material with the band then venturing into the music and highlights of The Hazies.

Details: Formed in 1994, the band performs a variety of music including songs by The Mahavishnu Orchestra and Jeff Beck, but it is their performances of the music of Frank Zappa that Bogus Pomp is best known for. Their usual make-up is a ten piece combo from which they play a variety of Zappa’s more difficult arrangements including jazz, rock and orchestral. They have performed several highly acclaimed shows with The Florida Orchestra and have been a featured artist in the annual Zappanale Festival in Germany. Their local Zappaweenshows are a favorite Halloween event each year in St. Petersburg.

Toddy plays the role of Victor’s manager and surprisingly Victor lands a gig at the city’s best nightclub, catching the eye of Chicago gangster King Marchan. The film stars Julie Andrews, James Garner, Robert Preston, and Lesley Ann Warren.

Details: With three albums over the past five years, Enter The Haggis has found itself at the center of a grassroots success story ever teetering on the brink of mainstream success. The film stars David Hedison, Patricia Owens and horror film cult icon Vincent Price who is best known for this distinctive voice.

Details: Legendary guitarist, singer/songwriter, Grammy winner, producer and Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame member Lindsey Buckingham will release his 6th solo album, Seeds We Sow, on September 6th 2011. This album is Buckingham’s first self-release, in which he took a true DIY approach, not only writing and performing every song on the record but producing and mixing them as well. Buckingham also announced a 31-city North American tour in support of the album which kicks off on September 9th in Nevada and continues through October 25th in Napa, CA (full routing below). The tour will make a stop at the historic Capitol Theatre in the Cleveland Street District in Downtown Clearwater.

Details: Staring Bela Lugosi, Dracula is one of the seminal films in the early day of the horror genre. Count Dracula leaves his home in the Carpathian Mountains of Eastern Europe for Carfax Abbey in London. Along the way he becomes infatuated with virtuous Mina Seward whose health has started to mysteriously deteriorate. Dr. Van Helsing is brought in to diagnose the problem and realizes that Dracula is indeed a vampire taking measure to prevent Mina from becoming one of the undead. Lugosi's portrayal of the legendary bloodsucker is widely regarded as the definitive Dracula, making the Count his signature role.

That night, Larry attempts to rescue Gwen's friend Jenny from what he believes to be a sudden attack by a wolf. He kills the beast with his new walking stick, but is bitten in the process. He is told that it was not merely a wolf; but was a werewolf, and that now he will become one.

Details: Seymour Krelborn is a nerdy orphan working at Mushnik's, a flower shop in urban Skid Row. He harbors a crush on fellow co-worker Audrey Fulquard, and is berated by Mr. Mushnik daily. One day as Seymour is seeking a new mysterious plant, he finds a very mysterious unidentified plant which he calls Audrey II. The plant seems to have a craving for blood and soon begins to sing for his supper. Soon enough, Seymour feeds Audrey's sadistic dentist boyfriend to the plant and later, Mushnik for witnessing the death of Audrey's ex. Will Audrey II take over the world or will Seymour and Audrey defeat it? The film was directed by Frank Oz, and stars Rick Moranis, Ellen Greene, Steve Martin, and the voice of Levi Stubbs as the plant.

Details: Psycho has become one of the most recognizable films in cinema history, and is arguably Hitchcock's best known film. Starring Janet Leigh, Anthony Perkins and Vera Miles, the film depicts the encounter between a secretary, Marion Crane (Leigh), hiding at a secluded motel after embezzling money from her employer, and the motel's disturbed owner and manager, Norman Bates (Perkins), and the aftermath of their encounter. The infamous shower scene has transcended the films thriller genre as one of the most iconic moments in film history due mainly to innovative editing techniques and screeching violins in Bernard Herrmann's musical score.
